Wikipedia editing workshops were held at the Hunt Museum across three days from 17-19 May. These events were held to celebrate the Hunt Museum becoming the first Irish cultural institutions to donate images directly to Wikimedia Commons. Some of these images have been uploaded to the article on Sybil Connolly, and a short write up can be found on the Irish report for This Month in GLAM.

June sees the beginning of Pride celebrations in Ireland, with the Dublin Pride parade taking place on 30 June. Our Project Coordinator will be there taking photos for Wikimedia Commons as she did last year, why not join her and help document it for the world? You can find last year’s images here, and this year’s will be uploaded to this category.
Wiki Loves Monuments 2018
There has been lots of work going on in the past few months to increase and diversify the listed structures in Ireland eligible for the competition in September. We will be announcing the new list along with a map to help you find your local heritage gems that could win you prizes! What this space!
