About Gary Dempsey
Gary is a dedicated heritage professional with over a decade of experience in the field. As a co-founder and the Creative Director of Digital Heritage Age, Gary leads innovative projects that integrate technology and heritage to enhance community engagement and education. He also imparts his extensive knowledge and expertise as a lecturer at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) – Galway City, where he teaches a variety of modules including Heritage, Film, Animation, and Game Design.
Since beginning his career in heritage management in 2010, Gary has developed a keen interest in community heritage management, collection, and promotion. His passion for the field is evident in his current research, which focuses on the historical role of stonemasons in medieval Ireland.
