Léiriú Spéise/Expression of Interest (English version below)
Tá dhá cheardlann á fhorbairt againn a mbeidh ar siúl i rith an tsamhraidh 2025 (deireadh mhí na Bealtaine agus tús mhí an Mheithimh). Beidh gnéithe de thionscadal uirlisí Rising Voices UNESCO “Digital Initiatives for Indigenous Languages,” mar chuid de na ceardlanna, agus is é an cuspóir atá leis ná tacú le cainteoirí Gaeilge ár straitéisí féin a shainiú mar phobal chun uirlisí digiteacha a úsáid chun ár nGaeilge a chur chun cinn agus a athbheochan sa réimse digiteach agus spás a chur ar fáil le haghaidh comhoibrithe, plé agus malartú eolais.
Tá an tionscadal seo dírithe ar an gceist: conas is féidir linn ár dteanga mhionlaigh a chosaint, a chur chun cinn agus í a choinneáil beo sa ré dhigiteach?
Tabharfaidh an imeacht daoine le chéile a mbíonn ag obair leis an Ghaeilge i gcomhthéacsanna digiteacha – idir chruthaitheoirí ábhair, iriseoirí, oideachasóirí, ealaíontóirí, daoine atá ag obair le teicneolaíocht teanga, gníomhaithe pobail, agus níos mó.
Ní gá duit a bheith ag obair go foirmiúil i do “ghníomhaí” chun páirt a ghlacadh – i ndáiríre, tá cuid mhór den obair a dhéanann daoine chun an Ghaeilge a spreagadh agus a chur i láthair ar líne ina chineál gníomhaíochta, fiú mura dtugtar an teideal sin air.
Táimid ag iarraidh ábhar, smaointe, scileanna agus guthanna éagsúla a thabhairt le chéile. Tá ról agat sa phlé seo má tá suim agat i gceist na teanga agus sa domhan digiteach ina mairimid cheana féin.
Is í an fhoirm seo an chéad chéim chun páirt a ghlacadh – táimid ag bailiú smaointe agus spéis ó rannpháirtithe féideartha chun an t-imeacht a dhearadh i gcomhar linn ar bhealach atá fóinteach, praiticiúil, spreagúil agus inrochtana.
Ar mhaith leat páirt a ghlacadh? Líon isteach an suirbhé seo.

We’re developing two workshops that will take place in summer 2025 (one online and one in person in June). The workshops will incorporate elements of the Rising Voices UNESCO toolkit project “Digital Initiatives for Indigenous Languages,” with the objective to support Irish language speakers in defining our own strategies as a community for using digital tools to promote and revitalise our Irish in the digital realm and offer space for
This project explores the question: how can we protect, promote, and sustain our minority language in the digital age
The event will bring together people working with Irish in digital contexts – content creators, journalists, educators, artists, language technology workers, community organisers, and more.
You don’t need to be a formal “activist” to take part – in fact, much of the work people do to promote and present the Irish language online is a form of activism, even if it’s not called that.
We want to bring together a wide range of content, ideas, skills, and voices. You have a role in this conversation if you care about the language and the digital world.
This survey is the first step in getting involved – we’re gathering ideas and interest from potential participants to co-design the event with us in a way that’s useful, practical, inspiring, and accessible.
- The workshop will include lightning talks, workshops, and skill sharing. If you are interested in contributing, please register your interest in the form linked below.
- We also hope to invite some relevant guest speakers or experts to the workshop, you can share your ideas here also.
If you would like to attend or contribute to this workshop, please fill out this form to register your interest and help us to shape the programme.
