Most of July and August went on holidays and admin – reports, recruitment, and planning for 2026/27. We’re now ready for the final stretch of the year, with photo competitions, a new project, and a new role open.

Amy was on annual leave in July and attended Wikimania in Paris.

Photo competitions
Wiki Loves Earth 2026
The competition ended on 31 July. Winners will be announced in September.
Wiki Loves Pride 2026
The competition is open until 31 August, one week left. Submit photos from local Pride celebrations, history, monuments, or LGBT+ figures.
Wiki Loves Monuments 2026
The competition opened on 15 August, during National Heritage Week. This year it covers the Republic of Ireland only; WMUK is running the Northern Ireland competition, and the two will be cross-promoted. Jury and prizes will be announced.

GET (Global Education Time) Project
Preparations are underway for the start of the school year on the GET project, an EU-funded initiative. More on the project: globaleducationtime.eu
